A Disruptive Approach Goes Mainstream: Zadara Named Gartner Cool Vendor for 2014!

One of the things about being a disruptive startup is that early on, even though you know you are on to something really good, you sometimes encounter people who don’t believe in you, or don’t understand the significance of the breakthrough. We’ve heard that “the technology is too hard to implement,” or “the incumbents are too deeply entrenched,” or “customers are too risk averse,” or even “the business model too new.”

Thankfully, along our fast growing path there have also been many who understood the potential of our storage solution all along.  Those include our customers around the globe, who found in us an enterprise storage solution that met the business, cloud and storage needs that until then they thought impossible to satisfy, service provider partners who saw how our solution augmented their offering for enterprise customers, and multiple awards from various startup competitions.
The recognition from Gartner means a great deal to us, a small rebuttal to those naysayers who told us it can’t be done. We have worked very hard and will continue to work even harder to change an industry known for very reliable but difficult to use products – and to create new business models and storage architectures that help free clients to focus on their uniqueness as a business rather than the drudgery of managing storage equipment. This award only makes us more determined to continue along this path of no-compromise solutions that allow organizations of all sizes and industries to do more across the globe, with simplicity, flexibility and agility like never before.
So what are we going to do now that Gartner has named us a Cool Vendor for 2014? We’re going to continue to build great technology and test it thoroughly, do the right thing by our customers, stay frugal, and grow the company, our solutions and partners rapidly while giving personalized attention to each client. After all, this is the same approach that got us to this point and it’s accelerating us forward.
We want to thank Gartner for believing in us and sharing their opinion with the world. We want to thank our customers, without whom the doubters would have been right. And not least we want to thank our team, who make the impossible possible every single day.
