4 New Services to Amp Up Your Zadara Storage Cloud

Zadara Rocket In The Clouds

This morning, we shared really exciting news and some of my favorite new VPSA service features. Here’s a summary of why enterprise cloud storage just got even better, everywhere you are, both on premises and at AWS, Azure and other public clouds:

Zadara Container Services (ZCS)

Spice up your storage with built-in docker containers for performance and automation! See our Docker blog entry here.

Incremental Backup to Amazon S3 (B2S3)

Backup just got as simple as a light switch. With the push of a button, your VPSA data gets automatically backed up to Amazon S3 using snapshot increments as frequent as once a minute. Enjoy convenient, fully automated, space efficient backups on Amazon’s durable and affordable S3 service. And avoid lock-in by restoring the data to any location of your choice, be it a Zadara platform or otherwise.

6TB SATA Drives

We were the first storage service to go to market with 5TB drives. Never content to leave well enough alone, we did it again and are the first to offer 6TB drives. Ideal for large data sets with sequential IO patterns or moderate performance requirements. (And don’t forget – all SATA and SAS storage is fronted by a fast read/write SSD cache designed to give you great performance at a great price.)

800GB SSDs

Not only did we quadruple the size of our SSDs from 200GB to 800GB, we kept the price per drive about the same. That’s right – the cost per GB is a quarter of what it used to be. If you have a large data set that requires high, consistent performance with random IO, then we’ve just made your day.
