This might be a confusing headline to a company offering storage as a service, but we actually don’t mean this tongue-in-cheek whatsoever. We think customers can gain far better agility, services and cost savings by taking advantage of Enterprise Storage as a Service model on-premises and in the cloud.

This morning Zadara announced a new Docker-based, Zadara Container Services (ZCS) that leverages our modular VPSA architecture to run tasks within the storage itself, rather than running code in compute servers.

Last night we were named to the Red Herring Top 100 North American companies. This is an annual listing that recognizes the most promising startups, based on their technological innovation, intellectual property, business model and a number of other quantitative and qualitative characteristics. We now share this honor with a few other notable companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, Salesforce.com, Palo Alto Networks, Skype, YouTube and eBay. Not bad company, if I do say so myself…
